Conversations of An Afternoon
Following a process where images are collected, outputted, layered, re-shot using light, and re-outputted, I explore photography as a medium of material exploration. This process produces a body of work that considers light as a medium in the post-production process of image making. Narratives are formed in the layering of time and space to explore light and motion as activators of memory. The resultant images are records of labour intensive processes involving the re-capturing of light, ink, and colour. These images are material objects; evidence of processes that delve into memory, thought, and consciousness.
