Positives

Photographs from the series Positives are created following a process where imagery of Kitchener’s Breithaupt Block is photographed, printed as a positive on transparent film, collaged, reshot using back lighting, and re-printed as a large scale chromogenic print. Evidence of dust, hair, tape, and the optical texture of the positive image reveals in microscopic detail the materiality of the process in which the image is made.
